FRANKLINTON JOB FAIR

One of the common requests of the graduates of our Financial Life-skills Program has been connection to employment opportunities. To further educate residents on available job resources and opportunities, we started hosting the annual Franklinton Job Fair. We worked with the Franklinton Board of Trade to launch the Franklinton Job Fair in 2019. The first year it was held at Central High School, then virtually on our Facebook page in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We partner with agencies that offer workforce development and job-training resources, while also having employers from Franklinton and the Columbus-area. We have had participation from Clean Turn, Columbus Works, Ohio Means Jobs Columbus-Franklin County, Franklin County Public Health, Fortuity, IMPACT Community Action, Columbus Metropolitan Library Job Help Center, Columbus Building Trades, Columbus Urban League, Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, Central Ohio YMCA, and National Center for Urban Scholars.
