70% of people in Franklinton are renters. Our main focus as an organization is to provide affordable housing for low-to-moderate income individuals and families by building and rehabbing homes. Over recent years, we have shifted our focus toward increasing our production of rental properties. The development of low-to-moderate income housing directly avoids displacement of our residents and helps create a mixed-income neighborhood. We continue to provide and maintain safe and decent housing opportunities for individuals and families.

Town Square Station at Hawkes Avenue/Town Street is on the same corner as Gladden Community House, Avondale Elementary School, and Franklinton Farm’s Patrick Kaufman Memorial Learning Garden. The 10-unit apartment building is a mix of 1-and 2-bedroom units. We are proud of this being the first rental project to be part of the Central Ohio Community Land Trust, which means these units will always be affordable. Starling Yard offers 97-units of affordable and high-quality apartments with 1-3 bedroom units at 120 S Central Ave in Franklinton. Starling Middle School was originally built in 1908 as West High School and has been turned into 45 apartments. This project provides units to income qualified residents earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income. Housing vouchers are welcomed.
